Question and Answer...

Hey!!!
This week went pretty good. Those guys that were staying with us for the past like 4 weeks are now assigned here and they basically cut almost every area in half to compensate for the missionaries here. I think they weren't seeing a super ton of success and none of us missionaries really know how to work with 4 or 6 missionaries in an area made for 2 and actually have the work for everyone. They want them to kind of forget about their old areas and hopes of returning soon and get to work here. Its pretty hard and we had to give up half of our area and investigators and everything to them. I know that we still have expectations and when we have expectations that come from God he will always provide a way for us to complete them.

Its super weird that one of the missionaries here with us is going home in like a week. So its like right when things get like the most crazy he gets to go home.

So changes are next week and the most likely is that me or my companion are going to leave. He has one more change than me but anything could happen. They're not going to be doing that many changes for the craziness going on and so we could both stay here together.. if I stay it will have been 6 months in the same area haha. Crazy. Some people have had like 6 or more companions with my time but I've had 1.. haha.

We met a family this week and taught them, they are pretty cool. I don't know what it would be like to live here. There's Us and then the testigos de jehova that pass by like all the time. And then they basically just let anyone teach them. They like to listen but not to do much. We can hardly challenge baptism to people because they just want to hear. What has helped us the most is to just really go in with small lesson plans and just go by the spirit when you get there. There is a quote that Elder Holland said that when you are talking to an investigator, to really listen to what they have to say because what they will have said ( even if it took literally 10 minutes of time straight) and what they had said will lead you to a principle to testify about. Its worked pretty good for us.

The other family we have been working on is call the Familia Tapia and they are an inactive partial member family. They got baptized like 4 years ago or so and haven't been to church really lately at all. We just contacted them and have been teaching them ever since. They really just need to see that even though changing their lives to conform with the gospel will be a difficult process its only because they were so far out of it and the blessings of following it are soooo much better.

okkie doke ? time.

Do you use tortillas or bread for the sacrament?
We use bread... even though I would love tortillas for sacrament..

What was Walmart like in Mexico?  What kind of stuff do they have different and like us?
Walmar was pretty normal actually.. Except instead of being like the junk of stores like it is in america its like way nicer than anything else.

Are things that much cheaper there?
Some things are super cheap. Others not so much. I haven't really been able to draw the line yet. Most food is cheep and DELICIOUS

How big is the area you and your companion cover? Do you use taxis or buses, or walk?
The area we DID cover was pretty big in Terreno. But now its pretty small. Basically 2 hills and another pueblo a little down the road.

You don’t talk about your companion much, what is he like?  Do you get stuff from his family?
Hes pretty cool. Idk there's not much to say about him. Hes from Idaho Pocatello and has like 16 months on the mission. Hes super young and going to finish his mission before hes even 20 from the way changes worked out. We get along a lot but he gets on my nerves sometimes.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?  Do they have a holiday similar to ours?
they just did Buen Fin which is like black Friday but they don't do anything like Thanksgiving as far as I know.

We have tons of Christmas out in stores, does Mexico start advertising as early as the US?
Yeah they had a billboard for Christmas like a month ago or more..

Do you have someone cut your hair, or do you and your comp do it?
We get our haircuts in town from some nice ladies. 25 pesos :D like 2 dollars..

If they don’t use their ovens, how do they bake bread, cookies, chicken nuggets?
They don't make those at their houses. I think they just buy them.

What do you cook for yourself mostly? Top Raman, corn dogs, hot pockets, etc?
Top Raman for me. And pasta. And lots of cereal and milk. Its like college all over again.

Well I love you all and I have to go because of time. Have a great week!!
