Rubi's Baptism, Seattle like weather, and Ready to Work!

Everyone,

Hey! This week was busy..

So this week was the anniversary of those 43 students kidnapped, murdered and buried in a mass grave... There were supposed to be a ton of protests and stuff and this Saturday we couldn’t leave the house. We actually haven’t heard about anything that has happened.. It’s been like overcast and the weirdest weather of my mission here though for like 3 days. I think God answered someone’s prayer and sent the rain to put a stop to the protesters. It’s the group Ayotzinapa that was supposed to be super mad and like burning buildings but all I’ve heard about is a bunch of government workers blocking off streets for protests of money.. Anyways I’ve seen every single one of the Sunday school church movies. They’re cool but I am just soo ready to work this week. Harder than ever in my mission.

This week Rubi got baptized!!! Sunday morning before our services I baptized her. She’s sooo coool. She really has gained a testimony and we have seen her repent so much and want to follow this path. She’s pretty stubborn sometimes but she has learned to trust in God. I’m grateful to have met her and felt the spirit with her.

This week Litzi should finally get baptized and also possibly Karen. I’m really excited for Litzi especially. It’s like almost been too long of a wait for her to have been baptized. She’s been ready basically since the first day she had contact with the church. I’m glad he will finally get what she wants and has worked so hard for. This will be a good week.

I love you all.. Your support and prayers don’t go unappreciated. Have a great week and say hi to a missionary for me!

I Love the Mission!

Hey everyone!

This week like usual was really good! My first week working with my new comp and it was really fun. We get along really well and it’s going to be a fun change. So yeah lots of stuff has been happening here!

Pretty much this area is the best area in the world. We have about 12ish investigators and I can see at least like 8 of them getting baptized hopefully while I’m here.  Also LITZI FINALLY GOT PERMISSION!!! She was going to get baptized this week buuuuut there’s gonna be some crazy stuff happening here this weekend and I’m not sure if it will give us a chance to baptize. Plus she talked to her family that lives in Acapulco and they are coming up on the 3rd to see her baptism. It’s going to be sooo goood.

Also we made a lot of progress with Rubi. She’s super cool and should get baptized this week! She couldn’t this last week because... girl probs ha... Awkward but God works in mysterious ways! The only problem is that she is taking all these obstacles as maybe she shouldn’t do it. So we are going to see her tomorrow and probably share 1 Nephi 3 when they go to get the plates and can’t get them 3 times. It should be really powerful. She’s so cool because she LOVES learning. Like she has a hunger and has even told us that to learn as much as she can. She’s going to be really powerful in the future as a member and a teacher hopefully.

Also we went and met a 13yr old girl that was in Iguala (another city in Guerrero) for the vacations and was going to church there and has been like 8 times and loved it there. She’s really cool and went to church with us this Sunday. I’m really excited to teach her because we have literally been looking and hearing about her for the past like 3 months..

We are teaching Karen the one who owns the restaurant again. She gave us food today and signed up to feed us at her restaurant 3 times this month!! I’ll be sure to carry my camera with me to take pictures.  I want to take more pics.. I just always forget. Like its gorgeous here and I think sometimes I don’t appreciate it as much as I should because I live here... I wish all of you could spend a day here!!!

We also have been going to these 2 pueblos called Tixtla and Chilapa. The families there are super cool, we are going back Wednesday. I guess none of them went to church though which is sad... but I’m excited to see them again. I love traveling even if it’s pretty uncomfortable. I guess it’s because it’s a time I can just rest without feeling like I’m not working hard enough.

I love the mission!!! I feel like I’m at the peak of my mission and I love it the best right now. It’s just everything I want. I can’t wait to see what I would be like in real life though with how much I think I’ve changed! Well, have a good week!!!
